Before You Contact Us.
One of the most critical pieces of information needed is to identify the type of door or window we are dealing with. If possible, please take a moment to collect any of the following information:
- Manufacturer’s Name
- Model or Serial #
- Material (wood, aluminum, vinyl, etc…)
Each call we take represents an opportunity to solve a problem – be it big or small. Our immediate goal is to relieve the pressures of concern and worry that comes with having to deal with home repairs, or improvements. In order to provide a fair and accurate quote that we will honor, we do our best to assess a job without having to be on-site. By using our years of experience in speaking with customers we have learned to ask the right questions to get the information we need. As concerns are conveyed, it is our responsibility to ensure that we are communicating clearly and in terms that are easy to understand.
A phone call or appointment is the quickest way to receive a quote, but we understand that some customers prefer to communicate via email/text. We take the same approach with our written communication as we would a telephone conversation or on site visit. It may take a few lines of dialogue over a longer period of time to nail down the issue, but we will work towards satisfaction with convenience.
Pictures & Video.
A visual aid can go a long way towards a quick resolution, so we believe in using technology to achieve our objective and encourage our customers to send us pictures or video of the door/window repair issue. We do kindly request that large files are sent zipped, or compressed. We also recommend that video footage be limited to 2 minutes in length, if possible.
For security reasons we have temporarily disabled the ability for customers to upload files directly from the website. You can however, still email or text your picture and video files to info@BayAreaSlidingDoorRepair.com or 650.333.5893
Quotes vs. Actual Invoice.
We are painstaking in our efforts to get the information we need to provide a fair and accurate quote. In most cases the actual cost will be equal to the quoted amount. However, on occasion, a repair ends up requiring more work or a different approach to solve the problem that may cause an increase in costs from the quoted amount. In any instance, we ensure that communication between Bay Area Sliding Door Repair and the customer remains clear and constant throughout the job in order to avoid ‘sticker shock’ when we present an invoice. We do not employ ‘bait and switch’ tactics to pad our profit margins and shun similar marketing gimmicks.
