Who Or What is An Eichler?
Joseph Eichler was a successful dairy salesman turned developer. His single-family post-and-beam designs with their spacious, open floor plans and glass walls, were a departure from the cookie cutter suburban neighborhoods that were dominant in the post-war construction boom. The limited supply of Eichler homes available make it one of the most sought after properties on the market today. Eichler homeowners have a reputation for being fans of Eichler’s creations – often going to great lengths to keep the form and function of the original building preserved.
Our History With Eichlers
Owner Jeff Anderberg has been repairing sliding doors throughout the San Francisco Bay Area for over 20 years. A large number of those repairs involve Eichler homes and servicing the Arcadia sliding glass patio doors that are featured in each house. Jeff and company have rescued hundreds of Arcadia doors from unnecessary endings and early demise.

Rarest Fix-it Man of Them All
CA Modern Magazine and The Eichler Network recently ran a feature story on Jeff and Co. The article provides some in-depth insight into how Jeff approaches his work with Eichlers and Arcadias, along with his desire to repair as many of them as possible. We could be a little biased in saying that it was well-written and worth the time to read. So don’t take our word for it and be sure to draw your own conclusion.
